Shenzhen Tena Android Set-top-boxes and HDMI Sticks


Tena is a producer of Android based set top boxes as well as HDMI sticks. On top of hardware development they also do software development for Linux or Android. Tena also provides solutions running not only Android but Ubuntu. The folks at the both were unwilling to quote prices.
Products Include:
Android set top box with dual core Allwinner A20 processor. The set top box also support webcams for things like Skype video calls.

Rk3188 Android HDMI stick.

Android Set top box with various CPUs.

RK3188 Tablet which could in theory run Windows RT.

Mobile Action Technology Bluetooth 4.0 Fitness Devices


Mobile Action Technology is a producer of fitness devices that work on Bluetooth 4.0 low energy with Android and iPhone. These devices include GPS’ and heart rate monitors. Heart rate monitors work by connecting through Bluetooth 4. A Bluetooth 4 sensor enables one to see the speed and distance of a bicycle on an iPhone. The sensor costs around $39. The GPS sports watch connects through Bluetooth 4 and the High end model is around $99. The smart watch can theoretically last for 24 hours. The bicyle computer costs $89. The company primarily targets European markets. All their devices use Bluetooth 4.0 low energy technology.

E-shine tablet component provider shows Morgan Touch active pen technology


E-shine is provider of components to other companies who want to create their own devices. They ship around $500 million worth of components every year. The don’t really make their own and rely mostly on the sale of components. They provide components for companies like Panasonic and touchpads for Synaptics. For more Solutions Demonstrated Tablet LCDs. Solutions for Rockchip processors. To produce a Rk3188 tablet with 16gb of ROM, 2gb of RAM, and a 9.7″ retina display would cost around 166 USD for 1,000 units. Dock-able Keyboard Tablet from go-clever 5″ Galaxy Note like device with a 960×640 resolution. The device uses an unspecified Qualcomm processor and 1gb of ram. The device appears to have a stylus. The price is 137 USD. An unspecified 8″ tablet with a Rockchip rk3066 which is soon to be upgrade to a Rockchip RK3028 next month. A Rockchip tablet with Morgan Touch technology was shown. Morgan Touch is an active pen technology similar to Wacom’s technology that is not only cheaper but more precise. I am pen user so hopefully this technology finds its way into more tablets. The solution can be added to Android tablets for an additional 25 dollars. Acemax shows their AmLogic AML8726-MX based Dual-core Set-top-box. The bulk price (1K orders or larger) start at around $45. Android 4.2.1 is installed. XBMC support. 80 people in the factory. Acemax also shows their Allwinner A31 HDMI Stick to be sold for about $65 in bulk. Acemax even shows a $70 1080p helmet action video camera. Next step will include a remote control touch-screen like a watch.
