Onyx E430 Android 4.3″ E Ink phone


6 months ago, I filmed Onyx showing the first Android E Ink e-reader prototype. Now Onyx International shows their new 4.3″ E Ink Android phone with a front light. Onyx also shows their first 6″ Android based E Ink e-reader also with a front light. Onyx is thus now fully focusing on Android on E Ink, for Android E Ink phones and Android E Ink e-readers. $50 A20 7″ by Jia Chuang Bo and other A31/A10/A20/RK3066/ATM7029 Tablets


Shenzhen Jia Chuang Bo Technology Ltd. provides professional OEM and ODM services to the tablet industry. They have a number of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Lines, some of which are constantly dedicated to the manufacture of well-known namebrands. The video provides a nice visual overview of the company’s manufacuring process – beginning with SMT lines to make the PCBA, After Welding (ie. soldering), PCBA Testing, Assembly Line, Packaging Line, QA Testing, and a final Aging Area. They were showing a number of their products – including an Actions 7029 quad-core with an IPS screen (1024 x 800), with an MOQ of 1K pieces it sells for $130. Another device incorporating 3G with an Allwinner A10 processor and IPS screen for $143 at an MOQ of 1K. Going forward, they are primarily focusing on Dual and Quad core designs. A 7″ design with 3G, IPS, Allwinner A10 and a similar configuration was quoted at $96. They offered sleek, sturdy looking metal case designs. The company’s customer base is heavily concentrated in Asia, with secondary sales to Europe. The company has a good description of their products and services at http://www.jcbkj.com/.

Sunlike shows $25 VIA8850 Android HDMI Stick


Sunlike (H.K.) International Electronic Limited are showing their own custom Android user interface, made for education and game purposes.

This custom UI will also be available on their VIA 8850 Android HDMI-stick costing $31 with the custom UI, $25 without the UI. The company also produces 8” tablet equipped with Actions Quad-Core processor, costing $100.

The company also sells Android laptops based on the VIA 8850 processor, 17,3” laptops based on Intel solution and Android game tablet based on Sunplus processor.

Other types of products the company is developing are music players designed for children and all kinds of speaker products.

iBen shows their Game Pad L1-C, their latest Android based Game console based on A31 at $150 and MOQ is 5k pcs, they claim to sold more than 20k pcs to Europe, Russia and other asian countries.It has Emulator built-in to play many other platform games too.they also have game console with two left/right joysticks too to explore many more control games too at around 150 usd and may be available to sell by May/June 2013. They are also planning to launch with Allwinner A31S quad-core based game console.They have 7inch A20 dual core at $110 right now and A10 for $100.

Singapore based Gajah technology shows 5 new product line includes power charger ,wireless chargers and power banks.they have R&D center in shenzhen and have wireless speaker,alerm clock speaker, bluetooth speaker with NFC function. as others they have also Allwinner A31 based tablet pc with special UI.they claim they have their own UI for tablet PC.they have quad-core chipset starting range from 98 to 130 usd with IPS screen. and 1GB RAM .They also have 7inch dual core MTK with 3G and GPS for 97USD.they have 200 people in shenzhen office.

Actions Semiconductor talks ATM7029 Quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 and launches the Dual-core Actions ATM7023A


Actions Semiconductor talks about their ATM7029 1.3GHz Quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 with Vivante gc1000+ (slightly enhanced gc1000), with seperate 2d gpu, quick boot, 4K video decoding, Miracast, super long standby and support for android 4.2.2. They demonstrate some of the examples that use this Actions ATM7029 solution in the 7″ 1280×800 ainol that sells for $95/1000pcs, 8″ 1024×768 from Ramos and the 10.1″ 1280×800 from Ramos. Actions has a demo showing the video decoding capability of the ATM7029 by running 6 concurrent videos via mx player. Actions semi is also launching a new dual core ARM Cortex-A9 processor the Actions ATM7023A. Actions Semiconductor employs over 600 people, 500 of which are in their R&D department.
