Nvidia shows their new Tegra K1 based in-car infotainment system, using their advanced GPU to increase the photo realism of the car’s Digital Dashboard. When the car dashboard looks like and reacts like a real material, it becomes more glance able, less distracting in the car. The Tegra K1 will then also enable self-driving car technology, potentially processing all that is needed to be processed to power a self-driving car. Tegra K1 will drive camera-based, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning and street sign recognition and can also monitor driver alertness via a dashboard-mounted camera.
