ZGPAX shows Smart Watch using MediaTek MT6577 dual-core 1Ghz ARM Cortex-A9, 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM, 6hr talk time, Bluetooth support, 1 and a half day battery life in normal use, 1.54″ 240×240 LCD screen, features built-in front-facing camera to do video-chats when you look at your wrist watch. Boot time is pretty fast (just a few seconds), supports Android 4.04, Google Play Store (probably a bunch of Smart Watch optimized apps are going to be added to Play Store soon), this is the first time they show this smart watch. ZGPAX also shows a GPS watch that could maybe have saved my father’s life, he died 5 months ago alone in his house, maybe of a heart pain. Please industry, build smart watches to monitor heart beat, make system to alert neighbors and ambulance in case of reliably detected heart attack.

The pico projector accessory enables one to output anything that the One Touch Hero displaying onto another surface. The pico projector is powered by the phone through the docking connector using an HDMI signal. The projector technology is a yet produced laser beam technology from an unspecified partner. The device lacks wired HDMI support and instead uses miracast for TV output. The TV link accessory provides Miracast wireless display support to TVs lack that functionality. The Miracast TV stick has a broadcom Arm processor in it. The TV link won’t be included but the price should be less than 50 USD. The price of the pico project remains unspecified.

The Alcatel One Touch Hero has a E Ink display cover which can display system functions and can act as a second screen for reading ebooks. The E Ink cover attaches to the device using a docking pin on the side of the device. The E Ink screen by displaying content rather than having the LCD do it you save power. The final version of the cover will have the ability to magnetically clip to the back. The E Ink cover at this time only supports the built in e-reader app but 3rd support should come in the future. The One touch hero has a 6″ full hd screen with pen support, the MT6589T 1.5Ghz Quad-core processor, 8gb and 16gb options with Micro SD expansion, 2gb of ram, and 3400mah battery.
Here are the latest products being made by the ZXS ZhiXingSheng factory. There’s a 7″ Android tablet with a Allwinner A13 processor. Another version of the A13 product is available with 2g Dual sim functionality and is available for 60 USD in bulk. A single sim 2g version is available for 50 USD in bulk. A 3G model of the A13 tablet with a single sim card is also available for 60 USD. A smaller version of the Allwinner A13 model is available with a thinner bezel. The Allwinner A13 tablet is also still available in 9″ size. The 9″ model sells for about 50 USD in bulk. The 9″ also has a 2g model for 78 USD. Another tablet that was shown was a 7″ 1024×600 MTK6577 based Android tablet with dual sim functionality. An 10″ tablet with a dual core Allwinner A10 was also shown. A 7″ Allwinner A20 tablet was shown available for 60 USD. The MTK model has a 3800mah battery that can last 4.5 hours on video playback. The MTK models sells for around 70 USD in bulk. The MTK model is available in multiple colors and finishes. ZXS mostly targets the US and European markets with their products. Alcatel One Touch Idol X is a 5″ 1080p IPS with super narrow bezel, 0.8″ thick, 110 grams, MediaTek MT6589T 1.5Ghz, HSPA+, 13MP camera with custom Android UI. Price is to be around 300-400€ in Europe depending on the market, perhaps $300-400 in the USA.
Alcatel One Touch launches Idol S an LTE-capable 4.7″ 1280×720 phone using Qualcomm processor, and the Alcatel One Touch Idol Mini is ultra-cheap 4.3″ WVGA on the MediaTek MT6572.
Alcatel One Touch shows their entry-level range of smartphones, starting with C1 HVGA 3.5″, C3 4″ WVGA, then C5 4.5″ and even the C7 5″ Full HD MT6589 phone. The price range of the Alcatel One Touch Pop C-series should be among the most affordable on the European market when they get released.
Archos 50 Oxygen is the high-end MT6589T 5″ 1080p IPS phone from Archos, featuring two cameras, a 5mp camera on the front and a 13mp camera with dual LED Flash on the back. The targeted retail price is around $350€.
Lenovo shows their latest range of 7″ Tablets, here’s the Lenovo S5000, one of the lightest at 247 grams, 7.9mm thick, quad-core MediaTek (MediaTek 8389 in the 3G model, MediaTek MT8125 in the Wi-Fi-only version), with a 1280×800 IPS screen, retailing at 199 Euro retail for WiFi version and 249 Euro for the 3G version. Lenovo also shows their other latest and upcoming tablets S1000, S3000 and more in this video.
The Vibe X has a Full HD 5″ screen and is one the smallest devices with a 5″ screen. The Vibe X has a polycarbonate design that looks like metal. The vibe X has a 5mp front camera which is good for self portraits. The Vibe X has the latest Mediatek 6589T processor at 1.5ghz and 2gb of ram. Unfortunately the device has no removable battery and a fixed 16gb of storage. Lenovo puts their own custom user interface on top Android 4.2 similar to MIUI in that it removes the app drawer called Lenovo Launcher. The Vibe X Should be available in China in October and outside of China in December and the price is yet to be announced.
Lenovo mostly targets Asia, Russia, the Middle-east, developing countries particularly with its smartphones and has yet to announce plans for Europe or the USA.
Here’s the world’s cheapest Android phone (that I can find thus far). We’re now approaching the sub-$30 pricing. Yup, $30, Android, capacitive 3.5″. Not 3G though, you get dual-sim 2G/EDGE modem at that price. If the 3.5″ screen is too small, you can get 4″ for $36 (maybe 480×320 or same 400×240, I need to check), or even 4.5″ for $45 (I think WVGA, I need to test and confirm), thus the Spreadtrum ARM Cortex-A5 system-on-chip solution with dual-sim 2G/EDGE support may compete well with the MediaTek MT6515 in that 2G/EDGE space. Let me know if you know which platform is more interesting in terms of reaching the world’s cheapest yet still usable Android phone target. We may already have reached the sub-$25 for an Android phone price now today, although it may surely be reached by the end of this year. Where can we go next year? Sub-$25 3G Android phones and sub-$15 2G Android phones? I bought 3 of these world’s cheapest phones, to use as my dual-sim roaming phone to keep my home SIMs active while I’m traveling, let me know what you would like me to test with those. The calling quality isn’t amazing, that’s one thing, but phone calls work. Wi-Fi works fine thus I can feed fast data to them from my 3G phone that does a portable hotspot if I want.

MediaTek MT6572 is the new low-cost 3G smartphone platform. Here’s the cheapest Samsung Galaxy 44-mini clone that I could find, this one with just 256MB RAM and 256MB ROM, you can expand storage with MicroSD card. This store also sells a clone of the HTC One. Thus you can get pretty decent 3G dual-sim phones for around $60-70 now all over China and exporting worldwide. I’m now testing this $62 MT6572 256MB RAM phone to see if I can replace my Galaxy Nexus with it and so that I understand better what the limitations are with having only 256MB RAM/ROM on ANdroid 4.2 with the MediaTek MT6572.
Here are the two highest-end MediaTek phones I could find, on the fastest MediaTek MT6589T quad-core “turbo” MediaTek platform. Both have 1080p resolution screens (perhaps from LG) run from the MT6589T processor. One U650 a 6.5″ screen and the P5005 has a 5″ IPS screen. The price of the P5005 is 199 USD retail in China. The price of U650 is 238 USD. The U650 also has 2gb ram option and 32gb storage option. Both devices feature removable batteries and Dual 3G+ SIM Card slots.
Here are two now very popular low-cost dual-sim 3G Samsung Galaxy S4/S4-mini clones for sale now all over China based on the new low-cost MT6572 Dual-core ARM Cortex-A7 from MediaTek. One was based on the regular Samsung Galaxy S4 with a 5″ screen the other was based on the S4 mini with a 4.3″ 854×480 screen. Both devices use a Mediatek MT6572. They both have 512MB RAM and 4GB Nand flash memory.
