Micro Crystal AG, a subsidiary of the Swatch Group, showcased its latest innovation at Embedded World 2025: the RV-3028-C8 Real-Time Clock (RTC) module. This ultra-compact module measures just 2.0 x 1.2 x 0.6 mm, making it the smallest RTC module currently available. Designed for applications with stringent space constraints, such as wearables, IoT devices, medical equipment, and automotive electronics, the RV-3028-C8 integrates a dedicated CMOS RTC chip with a micro-sized quartz crystal within a hermetically sealed ceramic package. citeturn0search15
