Skykit, a digital signage provider based in Minnesota, showcased its cloud-based digital signage platform and playback hardware at InfoComm 2026. Through a partnership with Hisense, Skykit offers multiple deployment options, allowing operators to run digital signage software directly as a System-on-Chip (SoC) application on Hisense commercial panels or via dedicated Skykit media players.

HDMI® Technology is the foundation for the worldwide ecosystem of HDMI-connected devices; integrated with displays, set-top boxes, laptops, audio video receivers and other product types. Because of this global usage, manufacturers, resellers, integrators and consumers must be assured that their HDMI® products work seamlessly together and deliver the best possible performance by sourcing products from licensed HDMI Adopters or authorized resellers. For HDMI Cables, consumers can look for the official HDMI® Cable Certification Labels on packaging. Innovation continues with the latest HDMI 2.2 Specification that supports higher 96Gbps bandwidth and next-gen HDMI Fixed Rate Link technology to provide optimal audio and video for a wide range of device applications. Higher resolutions and refresh rates are supported, including up to 12K@120 and 16K@60. Additionally, more high-quality options are supported, including uncompressed full chroma formats such as 8K@60/4:4:4 and 4K@240/4:4:4 at 10-bit and 12-bit color.

The hardware player lineup includes units featuring HDMI output, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and cellular connectivity options. The cellular-enabled players support up to 5G or LTE connectivity, enabling multi-output configurations with up to four outputs and 4K playback capability. To maintain continuous operation during network disruptions, all Skykit players cache content locally, ensuring playback continues uninterrupted when offline.

The cloud-based content management platform provides device management features, such as online/offline status monitoring and Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) commands to toggle displays on and off. The platform provides unlimited storage and supports unlimited users for global enterprise deployments, acting as a content delivery mechanism rather than a design tool.

For content creation, Skykit integrates directly with external platforms like Canva, allowing users to design graphics and automatically publish them to connected displays. In cooperation with Hisense distributors, commercial displays can also be pre-provisioned in advance, delivering ready-to-run digital signage directly to the installation site.
