Taitra Taiwan Excellence, organized by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council), brought a pavilion of award-winning Taiwanese companies to InfoComm 2026. Yolanda from TAITRA’s Los Angeles office explains the pavilion features brands that have earned the Taiwan Excellence Award, a recognition evaluated across criteria including product innovation, quality, R&D, and marketing. For this edition, 11 companies within the Pro-AV ecosystem were selected to participate.

HDMI® Technology is the foundation for the worldwide ecosystem of HDMI-connected devices; integrated with displays, set-top boxes, laptops, audio video receivers and other product types. Because of this global usage, manufacturers, resellers, integrators and consumers must be assured that their HDMI® products work seamlessly together and deliver the best possible performance by sourcing products from licensed HDMI Adopters or authorized resellers. For HDMI Cables, consumers can look for the official HDMI® Cable Certification Labels on packaging. Innovation continues with the latest HDMI 2.2 Specification that supports higher 96Gbps bandwidth and next-gen HDMI Fixed Rate Link technology to provide optimal audio and video for a wide range of device applications. Higher resolutions and refresh rates are supported, including up to 12K@120 and 16K@60. Additionally, more high-quality options are supported, including uncompressed full chroma formats such as 8K@60/4:4:4 and 4K@240/4:4:4 at 10-bit and 12-bit color.

The pavilion’s theme for InfoComm 2026 centers on the concept of Taiwan as an AI Island, highlighting brands whose products operate within AI ecosystems. Award recipients are chosen through a strict annual evaluation process that identifies products demonstrating strong technological capabilities across multiple assessment areas. Participating companies presented their latest hardware and software solutions on-site.

TAITRA operates five offices across the United States, with its LA office covering the southwest region to promote Taiwanese technology brands in the US market. Beyond InfoComm, TAITRA organizes Taiwan Excellence pavilions at other major trade events. Recent and upcoming pavilion appearances include medical shows in Las Vegas, ISC West for security technology, and future plans for Taiwan Excellence pavilions at Apex and InfoComm.

TAITRA is also the organizing body behind Computex, the major annual information technology and AI exhibition in Taiwan. The show has expanded significantly, filling multiple halls with AI-powered products, information technology systems, and related exhibits. The Taiwan External Trade Development Council continues to use these international platforms to connect Taiwanese manufacturers with global Pro-AV, IT, and media production markets.
