Foundries.io discusses the growth of Linux and security in the industrial robotics automation and infrastructure space, as well as the demand for MCU customers moving to an MPU space, where they require a heavier operating system like Linux. Foundry delivers the easy solution for Yocto, easy solution for security, which allows OEMs to productize their devices 6-9 months quicker with much more security. Foundries enable the cycle to be shortened by using the same code base from day one. They are probably the only platform that goes from bootloader through to Docker container and OTA, allowing OEMs to be very flexible with the SOC to be very flexible with their cloud. Foundries is SOC-independent, but they add all the latest security from all the latest offenders. This is almost unique in the industry and potentially IoT devices will be updated forever.
