Nvidia RTX Spark Gaming demonstrated the RTX Spark processor integrated into a Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra at Computex 2026. This platform showcases a playable AAA gaming demo running on ARM-based silicon. The demonstration highlights seamless execution of gaming workloads, utilizing X86-to-ARM emulation and translation layers to ensure day-one compatibility for major game titles. The engineering focus centers on delivering smooth gameplay experiences on portable form factors.

This close integration allows for a shared memory pool, which is demonstrated through a real-time Unreal Engine city creation demo where users can zoom in and out of complex environments without memory bottlenecks.

Operating within a laptop form factor requires careful management of thermal limits, battery capacity, and power delivery. The GB10 platform implements dynamic scaling of power usage, featuring a lower power mode for battery preservation and a boost mode to elevate performance during demanding tasks. The side-by-side die configuration optimizes electrical efficiency, enabling partner manufacturers to design thinner, faster laptops without compromising gaming performance.

At launch, the RTX Spark platform officially supports the Windows on ARM operating system. While developer-focused DGX platforms run Linux, this consumer-oriented rollout focuses on optimizing Windows applications and games. Nvidia RTX Spark Gaming engineers are working to refine the translation and emulation layers, ensuring that X86 legacy gaming titles execute reliably on the ARM desktop and laptop architectures.

The broader ecosystem for this silicon platform includes multiple hardware partners preparing a variety of form factors, including mini PCs and laptops. These partner systems are scheduled to launch in the fall of 2026. The co-developed silicon architecture, leveraging a unified GPU and CPU design, aims to establish a new performance tier for ARM-based personal computing devices.
