Nordic Semiconductor shows their newest Wi-Fi companion chipset, the nRF7002, which has been out for a couple of months. Nordic specializes in low-power wireless devices and with the Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, the nRF7002 is their lowest power Wi-Fi solution ever. The nRF7002 does not have its own controller and is mostly used next to their multi-protocol socs to add Wi-Fi capabilities to existing products. The nRF7002 is a companion IC, providing seamless Wi-Fi connectivity and Wi-Fi-based locationing (SSID sniffing of local Wi-Fi hubs).
