Alcatel One Touch Idol Alpha one of the latest mid to high end Alcatel devices featuring an appealing design. The Idol Alpha features a 4.7inch 720×1280 resolution display, 1Gb of RAM and is powered by a Mediatek MT6589 quad-core CPU. The front camera is 1.3MP and the rear one is 13MP. It comes in different colors. The crazy thinness and glass that appears on all the body sides makes the phone look nice.

LG showing the third generation of the L series and F series. Since quite a time LG makes series of products only for specific markets and regions following requirements. The L and F series are low to mid end smartphones. The main difference between the L and F series is that that the F series have 4G capability and L series dont. The new generation of LG L series comes with the L35, L40, L65, L70, L90 and others. All the L series smartphones come in Single-SIM and Dual-SIM variant. The L40 features a 3.5-inch 320×480 resolution screen, 512MB of RAM and a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU. The L70 features a 4.5-inch 400×800 resolution screen, 1GB of RAM and a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU. L90 features a 4.7-inch 540×960 resolution, 1GB of RAM and a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU. The F series come with the F70 and the F90. The F70 features a 4.5 inch 480×800 resolution screen, 1 GB of RAM and a quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU. The F90 features a 4.7 inch 540×960 resolution screen, 512 MB of RAM and a quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU.

Their Sleep Monitor can monitor your heart rate, breathing activity, movement activity and sleep quality through days. A smart mattress has some smart sensors built-in that can monitor your sleep. This mattress is flexible and comfortable and gets connected with a control box by a USB cable. The control box communicates with a smartphone or tablet to output the results. If the heart rate is above or below the normal rates or the breath rates are not normal, a SOS will get activated. At the moment this is designed to work only for Android devices. Netronix 6.8″ E Ink Wacom touch i.MX6 Solo Android E-reader

Netronix puts Wacom touch on a 6.8″ 1440×1080 E Ink Android e-reader based on the Freescale i.MX6 Solo Lite. Wacom is working on collaborative solutions for Wacom enabled E Ink e-readers like this one. If they do it right, I think Google should get involved, this could make it a really big new market for the E Ink based devices with touch for productive collaboration in education and enterprise. Netronix also has different other E Ink Android devices, secondary displays, large ones, and even the Netronix E Ink Smartwatch which I filmed here.

Eken launches Allwinner A33 Quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 Tablet and more

I filmed Eken many times and on January 11th 2012 at their booth it was the first time I heard about Allwinner, Eken was the first Tablet company I had seen implementing the Allwinner A10. This probably means that Eken has a close relationship with Allwinner to always implement their newest processors early into their tablet manufacturing.

They sell 80-100K Tablets per month, they’re a spin-off from Sawink with 60 people in their factory. RK3026 9″ and 10.1″ for around $54-60.

Geniatech Dragon Board for industrial use


Geniatech shows off their new AmLogic S802 Quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 based specialized set-top-box for industrial use cases, such as hotels, advertising, hospitality and other special use cases, includes special ports for programming. LVDS for the display, GPIO (General Input/Output), SATA, USB, and a lot more. Bringing Geniatech’s Android solution for industrial use, half or a third of the price of x86 based PC devices. Geniatech also shows their compact DVB tuners, DVB-T, ISDB-T, ATSC and DVB-T2.

MediaTek LinkIt Aster MT2502, new SoC for entry-level Smartwatches

MediaTek launches the Linkit platform called Aster MT2502, combining the MCU, PMIC, Bluetooth, Memory and Modem all into one chip. Lowering the power consumption, lowering the size, and even lowering the cost, MediaTek also introduces the Tiny System that kicks-in to standby mode on a lowered 26Mhz CPU frequency, down from a peak of 260Mhz that this MT2502 is designed to run at. When the Smartwatch is in use, it runs on RTOS Nucleus OS, running basic Smart functions with built-in Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy. Thus lower power (runs up to 4 days) compared to the existing MediaTek MT6260 platform which already runs a whole range of sub-$30 Smartwatches on the market. Supports QVGA 320×240 displays only, MediaTek is working with all kinds of different display providers including also E Ink. Here’s the MediaTek MT6592 with LTE Support, ripping out the modem part and adding MediaTek’s Multimode Worldwide Cat4 LTE modem 150mbit/150mbit, it’s thus packaged together. This is MediaTek entering the LTE market, power consumption being optimized, the next generation big.LITTLE MT6595 with integrated LTE is four ARM Cortex-A15 and four ARM Cortex-A7 where the modem part is using ARM Cortex-R4 arriving in Q3. MediaTek’s 64bit SoC may also be available as soon as the end of this year.

A 10.1″ tablet with MTK octa-core CPU and dual sim 3G built-in is also one of their new products.  They are launching a new line of Intel-powered tablets and a kid’s line with different case colors and kid’s software Crave is based in Shenzhen, China and produce around 200k units per month.

Teamforce showing their Car Inspection Cameras, Video Borescope and Wireless Endoscope Cameras. They make many different device models. Some of them have LED lights for better view on dark places. The camera lens are so tiny and some of the devices have interchangeable camera module cables with different lengths. Some models have a SD card slot and can be connected with the computer using a USB cable. Some have a waterproof housing. The battery life is around 4 hours and the price range for these is from $120 to $130 retail price.
