Acer Predator Z850 1080p projector for gamers

The projector shown first is Acer’s Predator Z850 model, capable of projecting ultra-wide aspect ratio a 120″ screen at 47cm distance. Rated for a brightness of 3000 lumen, the 1080p projector features an Ethernet port, USB port, and dual HDMI inputs, as well as three different modes of projection for particular game scenes. Also on display is Acer’s Predator gaming line, including a tablet, a phone, desktops, laptops and monitors (with nVidia’s G-Sync technology).

Blueboo E Watch, X Watch, smartphones

Shenzhen Huihua Exploit Technology Co., Ltd, also known as Blueboo, is a Shenzhen based manufacturer of smartphones and smartwatches. Here we see their E watch with an MT2601 chipset, 1.5” 320×320, 512MB RAM, 4GB of onboard storage, and a 360mAh battery. The smartwatch is rated IP65 water and dustproof, comes in Golden or Silver colours and leather or steel straps. Their smartphone range is also on display, and we see a 6” flagship model with an HD display, MT6737 chipset with octa-core 1.7GHz processor. The CP3A model with an MT6580 chipset costs US$49.5 (3k units), an MT6735 unit with 5” display and LTE MT6735 chipset for US$54. The phones feature fingerprint sensors on some models. The flagship unit comes with a 5” 1080p display, MT6753W octa-core chipset, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage and 2650mAh battery, on Android v5.1.

Marvell Armada 7040 and 8040 Quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 for Cloud and Networking

Director of marketing at Marvell SoC product line, here introducing the Marvell Armada 7040 and 8040, featuring dual or quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 configurations with Marvell MoChi and FLC Architecture. The demo quad-core board is shown running two virtual machines with a stress test for two cores. The board comes in 12Gbps (7040) and 24Gbps (8040) variants for network data processing, with a separate IC die for handling network functions. Prospective applications include 4-way NAS devices, network switches, running 3x(4×4) 802.11ac routers etc.

Imagination GPU With Raytracing, Wireless Audio Streaming and MIPS

Imagination PowerVR offers graphics IP for the ARM SOC market. PowerVR graphics technologies are used in set top boxes from Google, Apple, Amazon and other. Imagination also shows its standard for streaming wireless audio. MIPS systems on a chip are used in embedded devices such as in cars, Virtual Reality, wearables, and networking. MIPS processor designs can offer simultaneous multi threading similar to hyperthreading. MIPS devices have the ability to run multiple virtual machines if necessary. MIPS technology is licensed by Ingenic, Broadcom, Mediatak, Cavium and some other. Approximately 800 million MIPS processors are shipped every year. The PowerVR Wizard GPU was shown for the first time in silicon with a working benchmark demoing raytracing. PowerVR Wizard GPUs can be scaled from mobile all the way to desktop and console.

SECO UDOO x86 development board

On display here is the SECO UDOO x86, a computer along the lines of Raspberry Pi that combines a processor (a 2.56GHz 14nm quad-core Intel 64-bit part), RAM (up to 8GB), and storage (8GB eMMC upgradable to 32GB). The board features WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 (integrated Intel Curie microcontroller), and a fanless design. It can drive up to 3 4K displays via the 1xHDMI and 2XMini DisplayPorts. It is intended for use as a Windows/Linux/Android x86 computer, or as a development board for universities and students. The basic version starts at US$89.

Acer Chromebook 14

The Acer Chromebook 14 ($274 at Amazon) is a Chrome OS device that comes fully finished in metal for around US$300. Equipped with 14″ 768p (1366×768) or 1080p (1920×1080) pixel display, dual or quad-core Intel Celeron processors, 4GB RAM, 16/32GB of Flash storage, 2xUSB 3.1 ports, the Chromebook 14 is meant primarily for web usage and light office applications. Claimed battery life is up to 14 hours for the lower-resolution version.

Synology RT2600ac Router, up to 2.53Gbps Wi-Fi combined bandwidth

Synology, a Taiwan-based company specializing in NAS (network-attached storage) devices, has on display their RT2600ac router. The router is claimed to have a throughput of 2600Mbps. Equipped with four antennae, four LAN ports, 1xUSB2.0 port, 1xUSB3.0 port, and an SDHC card reader. The router runs Synology’s OS for routers, dubbed Synology Router Manager (SRM) 1.1, that allow for features such as being able to roll back files on the network to their previous versions and load balancing between different network inputs. The router can accept multiple internet connections including cellular data dongles via USB.

Marvell ARM Powered Network Switches

Displayed here is Marvell’s broad range of network switch solutions running ARM processors. The first board uses dual-core ARM Cortex-A9. has 24x10Gbps Ethernet ports and two additional 40Gbps ports. Marvell’s ARM CPUs come embedded with their security engine that allows for monitoring data activity. We also see their prosumer range meant for professional use, with support for a 10Gigabit port.

EziSmart smartphone keyboard case for elderly

EziSmart is a company based in Norway with factories in Shenzhen. The EziSmart K1 is a range of keyboard cases that one can insert a phone into, to enable a hardware (non-QWERTY) keyboard. Targeted towards the elderly, the case can be flipped close to reveal an SOS button and four buttons for instant use. The company’s app displays the caller’s name in the open window on the case, with hardware buttons for picking up and ending calls. Their feature phone comes with a heart rate monitor, a pedometer and keypad with large keys.

MadGaze Smart Glasses

This wearable features a piece of glass that allows for a 800x480px display for visual information from the Android v5.1 interface. The wearable comes in B2B and B2C versions costing US$480 and US$639 respectively. Demonstrated is the consumer model that features a capacitive touchpad on the body that allows UI control and recognizes taps. Battery life is rated at 2-4 hours of moderate to heavy usage and over 4 hours of light usage. There’s an 8MP camera, 32GB of storage, and a microphone integrated for voice commands.

Netronix 13.3″ E Ink Notepad $520 and 6.8″ $135

Netronix offers and accurate digital inking experience. Netronix electronic Notepads offer a digital notetaking experience. The digital notepad runs on an Android based system. The notepads have a black and white 13.3″ 1200×1600 e-paper screen. The digitizer is based upon walltop passive digitzer technology. The digital notepad sells for $520 for a minimum of 3000 Units. Netronix also makes a 6.8″ model with a 1440×1080 resolution. The 6.8″ models sells for $135 for a minimum of 3000 pieces.

RFTECH Android Smart Watch on MT6580


The RFTECH smartwatch runs on Android 6.0 with a quadcore Mediatek MTK6580 processor and 3g connectivity. Price for the Mediatek MTK6580 model is not available. RFTECH also has other smartwatch models available in different price ranges.

NXP connectivity technology is incorporated in a variety of devices such as embedded, automotive, and mobile devices. NXP technology is used in a NFC ring which can be used to activate an electric motorcycle or other vehicles. Most cars in the world use NXP technology for connectivy and other automotive functions. NXP also offers wireless charging technology called Qi. NXP amplifiers can be turn a phone speaker into a microphone to improve audio quality and noise cancellation of smartphones. NXP is the market leader in NFC technology.

The Turkish Company Vestel shows their Turkish-Produced smart phone brand “Venus” on IFA 2015.
The Venus series phone is powered with Qualcomm processor, running Android 5.1 Lollipop, comes with nice design, and will be available at an affordable price for the European market soon.
Venus X, with sharp contours, and Venus V, with a more rounded design.
The 5.5” Venus model features a 13-megapixel camera, 16GB memory, the 4G LTE and NFC technologies. The 5.0” Venus model features excellent battery life.
