R.BOT presents a Telepresence Robot, just insert whatever Android device you want with USB Host support in it’s stand, phone or tablet, and your Android device becomes the brain and the display for this telepresence robot, which can drive around and extend or retract and turn it’s head based on either manual remote telepresence control or also by voice recognition, gesture recognition and autonomous algorithms and AI response. RBOT.COM R.BOT has Synergy Swan, Synergy Mime and R.BOT Mini, can be used at stores, restaurants, schools, shopping centers, trade shows and at companies who want to for example let the CEO remotely roam around the office.

Sunchip RK3288 HDMI Stick and Set-top-box

Shenzhen Sunchip shows their RK3288 based HDMI Stick and Set-top-box PCB, the hardware is ready, they just need another month or so for the software to be ready and optimized. We’re talking Quad-core ARM Cortex-A17 (according to Rockchip and posters), Mali-T674 GPU. Sunchip sells about 30K HDMI Sticks and Set-top-boxes per month. Shenzhen Tena shows the mockup for their upcoming RK3288 Quad-core ARM Cortex-A17 HDMI Stick. For now this is just a mockup, but the RK3288 HDMI Stick should get ready by around next month. With 2 USB Ports, IR remote control, MicroSD card. Shenzhen Tena will also provide a RK3288 based Set-top-box. Tena has a RK2928 Miracast dongle with 5Ghz WiFi. Aprolink is a Taiwanese company that is currently working on smart watch and smart glasses solutions. They are showing their new smart glasses along with a smart watch with a small OLED display. The smart glasses module is detachable that can be put on and off even in your prescription glasses. The smart glasses are powered by a Rockchip RK3168 CPU. The device has a HD micro display by Himax and runs Android 4.2. The smart glasses can be connected with other devices with its Bluetooth 4.0 and has a battery life expected up to 3 hours with its 500mAh battery. Aprolink smart glasses can be controlled by a touchpad that is located on the right side of the device and the retail price is expected to be under $500.
