Topwise Broadcom BCM23550 Phones/Tablets, Spreadtrum SC7715 cheapest 3G phone in the world


Topwise uses IPS + OGS Touch Panels for high-end, 5″ qHD/720p/FHD using the Broadcom BCM23550 Quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 with Broadcom’s VideoCore425 GPU. Broadcom comes with dual-WiFi 5Ghz and using Broadcom’s modem. Topwise also shows the 3G single-core Spreadtrum SC7715 single-core ARM Cortex-A7, perhaps the cheapest 3G phone in the world. Topwise ships 800K phones per month with more than 1300 people in their factory. They also have the EDGE Spreadtrum SC6925C single core ARM Cortex-A5. Topwise also uses Broadcom BCM23550 in their 3G dual-sim Tablet with 1024×600 IPS 1GB/8GB. Broadcom thus here shows with Topwise how they are trying to aggressively compete with MediaTek for the entry-level Smartphone market, providing strong multi-core performance with some advanced SoC features integrated.

Vipstech introducing their newest Android Projectors. One of the Android Projectors uses DLP projecting technology, has a 800 x 480 projecting resolution and costs $215. This android projector can be controlled by an air mouse or a normal mouse. Another Android projector  with higher specs and bigger size emits light with higher capacity and has a 1280 x 800 projecting resolution. This android projector can be controlled by a touchpad which is located at the top of the device and this android projector costs $600. Vipstech also makes power banks and tv boxes.

Zivi is a ShenZhen based company that makes smartphones and tablets. Zivi 3.5inch, mt6572 dual-core costs $36 for MOQ 10K. One of hottest products for the moment is their octa-core smartphone with 5inch FHD screen sold for $118. They are showing here their Broadcom line. There are a bunch of cost-efficient smartphones and tablets in different sizes powered by Broadcom chipsets. Zivi sells around 300,000 to 500,000 units per month.

Goclever is a Polish company who sold 1 million Android devices last year and plans to more than double that this year. The Goclever Chronos Smartwatch is just about to be launched for 49€ and features basic Bluetooth 4.0 Notifications for Calls, Email, SMS and Calendar. The Goclever team has finished working on hardware and is working on software to make this smartwatch compatible with many devices that have Bluetooth 4.0 LE like some Samsung and Apple devices as well as to support all of MediaTek and Broadcom. The Chronos has an always-on display and the battery lasts for up to 150 days. Goclever sells their products throughout Europe. Chronos smartwatch will cost only 49€ or 199 polish zloty.

Luckystar shows their latest tablets. A Luckystar 3G tablet with 7.85inch IPS display, 1Gb of RAM and powered by Mediatek MTK8382 quad-core CPU costs around $109. The tablet comes in different colors and has 8Gb of internal storage expendable by SD Card. Another new Luckystar successful tablet has a 9.7inch Retina IPS display, 2Gb of RAM and powered by Rockchip RK3188 quad-core CPU. This tablet has 16Gb of internal storage expendable by SD Card. This tablet with the 3G calling function costs $158 and without 3G calling function costs $138. Luckystar sells more than 300k devices per month. AmLogic M805, S805, M806 Quad-core ARM Cortex-A5 with Mali-450


AmLogic shows off their new Quad-core ARM Cortex-A5 processors, optimized for lower power consumption and still providing high multimedia support. In this videos, AmLogic is showing their new M805, S805 and M806. They have been developing their new generations of chipsets by optimizing performance and reducing power consumption. AmLogic uses this technology to be used in future devices to offer more efficiency and productivity. Difference between the 805 and 806 is that the 805 has MIPI-DSI support and the 806 has TTL support. The M series may be used in tablet and other mobile devices while the S series can be used in devices such as Android Boxes and Hdmi Sticks. Here at the booth, AmLogic is showing some devices for reference showing where their semiconductor solution can be used such as Set-up Boxes, Hdmi Sticks, Android Smart TVs, Android Tablets, Smartphones and AIO computers which most of them are running Android KitKat at the moment. AmLogic might work in future with Chrome OS because they have bought the proper licenses.

Mele shows off 4K video playback on their Linux (not yet Android based) Allwinner A31 quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 Set-top-box. Playing back specific codecs, bitrates, framerates, 30fps for now. Mele also shows OTT video-on-demand support. Mele also shows their new Telechips dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 with full multimedia playback including the Blu-ray ISO files support, thus supporting all the video playback.

Diadem is manufacturer of mobile devices which sells around 100,000 – 200,000 devices every month. Diadem makes devices with both Qualcomm and MTK processors. Diadem makes a MTK 6572 based device for around 55 USD. Another MTK 6572 device with NFC sells for 99 USD. Diadem makes a MTK 6589 device with 5″ screen for 100 USD. For 195 USD Diadem makes a 5″ FHD device with a Qualcomm processor and NFC. Diadem makes a much smaller device for a MTK 6572 processor. Diadem makes a water proof feature phone for 37 USD.

ZXD is a manufacturer of mobile phones and they have been in business for around 5 years. ZXD sels around 300,000 phones per month. ZXD didn’t always make mobile phones they also used to make mp3/mp4 players. ZXD makes both feature phones and Android phones. ZXD makes a MTK 6515 based device for 34 USD (2g) or 35 USD (3g). ZXD also makes the G60 model with a 6″ (1280×720) screen and a MTK 6582 processor for 140 USD as well as the G59 model for 100 USD with an inferior screen and CPU. The G50 comes with a MTK 6589 processor for 101 USD and the G55 comes with a MTK 6982 processor. The G46 sells for 76 USD and G45 sells for 78 USD. The G35 is 44 USD with a 4″ wvga screen.

Utime is a manufacturer of cellphones and they began making them in 2008 and sells around 300,000 phones per month. Utime makes a MTK 6589 phone with a 4.5″ (presumably HD)screen for 68 USD in bulk. Utime makes a 6″ device with a 8 core (dual quad core) MTK 6592T processor for an unspecified price. Utime also makes feature phones as well as Android smartphones. Utime’s cheapest phone sells for 37 USD.

Singda makes an adapter for your television that mirrors the display of your device onto the TV using Miracast technology and can be used with airplay or DLNA. The adapter sells for 20 USD for 500 units. Singda also makes a tablet which can be used as an accessory for the miracast device. The tablet itself has a rockchip processor.
