This is Asus new announcement. Put their phone in a slot behind the tablet. I have tried to ask some of their representatives if this means only the phone has a processor, or if both the phone and the tablet have the same Qualcomme Dual-core processor, some have told me it’s got two processors, but someone else told me they both share the same processor. Logically there is a HDMI output and a USB Host connector in there. Dos this make sense to you? Or does it make more sense to put your phone in the pocket and the tablet wherever else you want to have it and a full power ARM SoC in each. Maybe it’s just Asus who doesn’t really want to charge double the price for this combination but prefers to try to provide the processor-less tablet as a $200-$300 accessory. This may be their Atrix dock.

Qualcomm MSM8660 Dual-core captures and playsback 3D
Qualcomm shows 18mbitps 1080p playback but also shows support of 1080p 3D playback and 1080p 3D recording. Is this really what he meant to say, that it not only playsback 18mbitps 1080p 2D, but also records and playsback 1080p 3D as well? Might it be that the 3D 1080p modes are supported only at lower bitrates? Does that mean the Qualcomm MSM8660 Dual-core platform may be the best performing video player and recorder among the recently demonstrated Dual-core processors? Please post your insights, knowledge and resources on this that you can find in the comments.

HTC Flyer Android Tablet
HTC’s first Tablet, it’s got a 7″ 1024×600 capacitive touch screen, it’s 420gr, 1GB RAM and runs a 1.5Ghz Qualcomm processor. HTC implemented some kind of special external stylus feature that allows for scribbling on top of a snapshot of the screen, so one can scribble on top of anywhere within Android, but the actual integration of that touch screen handwriting technology with the Android apps is still to be seen, and the stylus has to be slotted in an external leather case.
