New iPhone sucks! Buy Gemini PDA or Vernee Mix 2 instead

Posted by – September 14, 2018

To be honest, I watched 1 video about the new iPhone, as I can see it’s pretty much still a hugely overpriced shitty notch phone. Good job from the Trillion dollar fruit gadgets company. (I mean of course their new 7nm ARM processor surely is interesting..) The Gemini PDA is my daily driver phone, I use my Gemini PDA every day as my main phone for over 6 months now (since I filmed this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTU28QgYHdQ&t=203s ), Gemini PDA is amazing for me to be productive, to be able to type texts with my phone nearly as fast as I would on a laptop, and here I also show a properly great value $150 Vernee Mix 2 phone available at around $150 here https://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_906061.html?wid=1527929 (thank you Gearbest for sending me this one!) There are some newer Bezel-less phones that have been released since, some perhaps slightly lighter, with better GPS positioning accuracy, better camera and brighter display. Check back later for more videos on these.

Gemini PDA runs 5 Linux distros, Debian, Ubuntu, Sailfish, Android, unlocked bootloader, open source

Posted by – March 16, 2018

Planet Computers CTO Davide Guidi, filmed at the Gemini PDA headquarters in London, they shipped to first 1000 backers of 4200 from their successful Indiegogo. Here presenting 5 Linux distros, unlocked bootloader, open source on their website (with more source code to come shortly to that page) hardware acceleration of any Linux distro is under development using Libhybris and planning to try to integrate Halium to optimize the performance in all Linux distributions, to use the Android GPU, sound, video, modem and other binaries to each their fullest hopefully within each Linux distro. Gemini PDA hopes that by unlocking their bootloader, by providing the bootloader open source, providing their Linux distro images open source, letting users do whatever they want and multi-booth any OS that they would like, hopefully there will be a vibrant community to bring great all Linux performance on this MediaTek X27 deca-core Powered large and awesome mechanical keyboard phone. After having soon shipped to their remaining Indiegogo backers, Planet Computers hopes to be able to expand much further selling their phone through distributors and telcos around the world.

$90 Bezel-less 5.5″ Sharp LCD, UMIDIGI Crystal

Posted by – April 20, 2017

UMIDIGI shows the cheapest bezel-less phone I have yet found, selling at only $90 in bulk to distributors who order at least 1000 units (if you are a distributor, you can contact them at the contact infos below to enquire about price based on your order quantity). UMIDIGI positionned the phone call speaker hole at the top of the phone (I am not sure if sound quality would be best, I was not able to test it) and the microphone is below the phone on the side. Only shipping HD 720p display for now, but they also plan to have a 6″ version to be called the UMIDIGI Crystal Pro coming as soon as Sharp is providing them with the 6″ display (that one would probably be 1080p).

$135 Bezel-less 5.5″ AMOLED, IDWell D10 and D10 Pro

Posted by – April 20, 2017

IDWELL is showing their D10 and D10 Pro bezel-less Smartphone running on a MT6750 to MT6757 (higher clock frequency version) Octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 with a 5.5″ 720p or 1080p AMOLED display (price difference is $18, 1080p is the Pro), with 3GB RAM, 32GB Flash, with a 4GB RAM and 64GB Flash option also. 5 or 8 megapixel front camera, dual 13 or 16 megapixel back camera, 3000mAh battery, 7.4mm thickness, 4G LTE support. IDWell suggests holding the phone in the opposite way, I suggest that would only be for when doing selfies or when doing phone calls as they positioned the phone call speakers, selfie cameras and back cameras at the bottom of the phone, but the UI I think should be set to flip so the phone can mostly be used in the other way with the bezel lessness at the top for anything else done on the phone.

The price starts at $135 for bulk orders of at least 3000 units, distributors can contact IDWell here:
