HDMI® Technology is the foundation for the worldwide ecosystem of HDMI-connected devices; integrated with displays, set-top boxes, laptops, audio video receivers and other product types. Because of this global usage, manufacturers, resellers, integrators and consumers must be assured that their HDMI® products work seamlessly together and deliver the best possible performance by sourcing products from licensed HDMI Adopters or authorized resellers. For HDMI Cables, consumers can look for the official HDMI® Cable Certification Labels on packaging. Innovation continues with the latest HDMI 2.2 Specification that supports higher 96Gbps bandwidth and next-gen HDMI Fixed Rate Link technology to provide optimal audio and video for a wide range of device applications. Higher resolutions and refresh rates are supported, including up to 12K@120 and 16K@60. Additionally, more high-quality options are supported, including uncompressed full chroma formats such as 8K@60/4:4:4 and 4K@240/4:4:4 at 10-bit and 12-bit color.

The ThinkSmart Core Gen 2 serves as the central compute unit for these setups, offering extensive connectivity through multiple interface ports. It supports dual HDMI outputs for standard dual-display configurations, and a USB-C output that enables a third display when deployed in a Zoom Rooms environment. The system includes an HDMI input for local content ingestion and supports a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) workflow, allowing a connected laptop to immediately take ownership of the room’s display, camera, speakers, and microphone.

For video capture and audio, the ThinkSmart Bar 180 utilizes a panoramic triple-camera system to deliver 4K+ resolution across a 180-degree field of view. The camera system supports multi-stream video and IntelliFrame technology to automatically crop and zoom in on participants. This bar is offered as part of the Core Full Room Kit, which can be configured with either an IP controller or a USB controller to manage meetings.

Lenovo has partnered with Huddly to offer additional camera and audio options, including the Huddly C1 camera bar and the Huddly Crew multi-camera system. The Huddly Crew setup employs multiple cameras to track active speakers and deliver director-style camera angles. These systems integrate with Lenovo’s 55-inch and 65-inch 4K displays, which feature a mounting slot on the back for the ThinkSmart Core Gen 2 compute unit and support control commands through ThinkSmart Manager software.

For smaller spaces, the ThinkSmart Express Room setup provides a simplified deployment path. This configuration packages a Heckler stand, an LG display ranging from 42 to 55 inches, a Lenovo Tiny compute unit powered by an Intel Core i3 processor, a ThinkSmart Bar 180, and a USB controller. The setup consolidates compute, audio, and video elements into a single hardware package suitable for quick installations.
