Kinefinity showcases its new Vista full-frame cinema camera, a lightweight prototype weighing 620 grams without a battery. The camera features a native KineMOUNT with interchangeable options for PL, LPL, EF, and E-mounts. It is equipped with dual native ISO, a CFexpress Type B card slot, and a 4-inch, 800-nit flip-out OLED monitor. The Vista is still in development, particularly its software, with final specifications on maximum resolution yet to be determined, though 6K or 8K capabilities are being considered.

HDMI® Technology is the foundation for the worldwide ecosystem of HDMI-connected devices; integrated with displays, set-top boxes, laptops, audio video receivers and other product types. Because of this global usage, manufacturers, resellers, integrators and consumers must be assured that their HDMI® products work seamlessly together and deliver the best possible performance by sourcing products from licensed HDMI Adopters or authorized resellers. For HDMI Cables, consumers can look for the official HDMI® Cable Certification Labels on packaging. Innovation continues with the latest HDMI 2.2 Specification that supports higher 96Gbps bandwidth and next-gen HDMI Fixed Rate Link technology to provide optimal audio and video for a wide range of device applications. Higher resolutions and refresh rates are supported, including up to 12K@120 and 16K@60. Additionally, more high-quality options are supported, including uncompressed full chroma formats such as 8K@60/4:4:4 and 4K@240/4:4:4 at 10-bit and 12-bit color.

The camera’s connectivity includes two 4K HDMI outputs and a microphone input that also functions as a timecode port. The hardware design is near final, with an expected release timeframe around June. The Vista is positioned as a highly portable option for professional cinematography, suitable for applications such as compact car rigs where low weight is critical.

Also on display is the MAVO Edge 6K, a camera notable for its integrated electronic neutral density (ND) filter. This internal ND system is continuously variable, adjustable from 0.6 to 2.4, providing cinematographers with precise exposure control without external filters. This feature simplifies shooting in changing light conditions and streamlines the camera setup.

Kinefinity’s established MAVO LF camera, which has been on the market for several years, is also featured. This model is widely used for documentaries and feature films and shares the dual native ISO characteristic found in other Kinefinity cameras. The company’s proprietary KineMAG SSDs, available in capacities like 1TB, offer fast ProRes recording and feature a built-in USB-C port for rapid footage offloading directly from the media.

In addition to its camera bodies, Kinefinity presents a high-resolution Micro-OLED electronic viewfinder (EVF). This 1080p EVF is designed for use with a wide range of cameras, not just Kinefinity’s own, and offers versatile connectivity through HDMI, SDI, and USB-C inputs. The EVF was demonstrated mounted on a Sony FX3, highlighting its ergonomic design and compatibility within diverse production environments.
