One of the key highlights was the Planar MTS Series, an advanced fine-pitch LED display designed for high-end applications. The series supports a range of pixel pitches, including 0.6mm, 0.7mm, 0.9mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, and 2.5mm, making it adaptable for different viewing distances. The display is completely curved, offering an immersive visual experience ideal for retail, high-end showrooms, and educational environments. Its MicroLED technology with MP (Micro Pitch) processing enhances brightness and contrast while maintaining durability, making it resistant to scratches and damage.
Another standout was the Planar CarbonLight CLI Flex Series, a pliable LED system designed to create seamless curves without visible seams or color distortion. This technology is particularly suited for installations requiring immersive digital environments, such as high-end retail spaces, broadcast studios, and interactive exhibitions. The showcased model featured a 0.9mm pixel pitch, providing high-resolution clarity for close-up viewing. Additionally, the GOOB Surface Protection feature ensures the LED panels remain resistant to damage while allowing easy maintenance and cleaning.
For large-scale installations, the DirectLight Pro Series was introduced as a next-generation LED video wall solution, supporting fine pixel pitches from 0.9mm to 2.5mm. This series is engineered for control rooms, transportation hubs, and command centers, where ultra-high resolution and reliability are critical. A 1.2mm pixel pitch configuration was displayed in a fully curved wall setup, showcasing the 3000-nit brightness capability, ensuring high visibility even in bright environments. The modular design allows for easy front-service access, reducing downtime for maintenance.
Planar also presented their all-in-one LED display, a 135-inch 4K resolution solution that integrates touch functionality for interactive applications. This display is particularly suited for meeting rooms, classrooms, and boardrooms, where high-resolution visuals and ease of use are essential. The system includes a built-in controller and scaler, allowing users to adjust video size, rotate content, and switch between sources effortlessly.
For transportation and security applications, the DirectLight Slim Series was introduced as an ultra-thin MicroLED video wall with an installation depth of less than two inches. The series supports curved configurations and is ideal for environments requiring high-contrast, high-durability LED solutions. This makes it well-suited for airports, metro stations, and security monitoring centers.
A key focus was also on XR (Extended Reality) solutions. Planar demonstrated its high refresh rate LED walls that integrate camera tracking technology, enabling real-time motion tracking for virtual production and simulation environments. The display’s seamless tracking capabilities ensure a smooth, immersive experience, making it a valuable tool for broadcast, film production, and advanced simulation training.
For modular installations, Leyard and Planar introduced a customizable LED cube, which serves as a portable demonstration unit for different technologies. This cube integrates various controllers, pixel pitch configurations, and interactive elements, allowing integrators to showcase different display solutions. The transparent LED modules included in the cube are particularly useful for large architectural installations, where digital content needs to blend with physical structures without obstructing natural light.
Planar’s headquarters is based in Portland, USA, with global branches ensuring 24/7 engineering support and on-site assistance within 48 hours. Their long-standing expertise includes collaborations with NASA, major airports, and high-end commercial installations, cementing their reputation as a leader in display technology.
