Qt on Toradex Verdin with the i.MX 8M Mini and Nano

Posted by – April 28, 2020

At Embedded World 2020, Toradex at the Qt Booth shows how tightly integrated Qt is on the new Toradex Computer on Module Verdin (https://www.toradex.com/computer-on-modules/verdin-arm-family). Daniel explains how the Verdin Dahlia development board (https://www.toradex.com/products/carrier-board/dahlia-carrier-board) simplifies development with debug ports on USB, USB C power & customizable display interfaces, CAN buses and more. The second board Toradex presents is the Development board (https://www.toradex.com/products/carrier-board/verdin-development-board-kit) a large fully-featured board providing access to all available interfaces.

Verdin Modules come with the new Torizon (https://www.toradex.com/operating-systems/torizon), an open-source easy to use industrial Linux platform and with Yocto Project reference images so customers can build a fully customized Linux version. Several Toradex partners that support Verdin and Torizon are highlighted. Toradex also demonstrates an impressive Qt fast boot, which does a cold boot into Qt on top of Linux in about 1.2 Seconds and running Qt on Torizon on the high-performance Apalis i.MX 8QuadMax (https://www.toradex.com/computer-on-modules/apalis-arm-family/nxp-imx-8).
