Panasonic shows their OLED Printing technology for the first time at CES 2013. They claim this can allow for affordable mass manufacturing of OLED displays at any size and at any resolution. Panasonic claims that the yield is high for this new OLED manufacturing process, so they claim this is going to allow them to mass manufacture 4K OLED displays. But they cannot yet confirm if mass market availability of this 4K OLED screen can happen in 2014 or 2015, this is something that they are still discussing internally.

But it is many OLED-developing companies that have developed printing technologies for Ink Jet-printing of OLED-displays.
Mot of the research companies in the OLED-business is just only developing companies which will not make the displays be them selves like Kateeva or chemical companies like Dupont.

Samsung have for instance license their OLED-technology from the american company Universaldisplay
and Samsung aquired the Clairvoyante Inc. PenTile RGBW-technology where White got an extra subpixel in RGBW for higher contrast ratio.
Clairvoyante Inc. as part of Samsung Electronics is now called Nouvoyance Inc. where Samsung´s concept is to license the PenTile RGBW tech to other display companies worldwide.

Samsung Display have license Dupont Ink Jet technology for making it possible to print out OLED-displays, so printing out OLED-displays will come from more companies than Panasonic forthcoming years.

And maybe Panasonic also have licensed their printing tech for printing out OLED-displays also from Dupont?
