During 2012 Samsung Mobile Display start production of flexible Amoled displays that will have graphene electrodes as capacitive material instead of ITO=Indium-Tenn-Oxide because ITH must have glass as substrate for its elektrodes.

Graphene stick on plastic substrate or polyamide as Samsung fleixble displays will be made of.

Another good attribute of flexible Amoled displays are that they can not be broken as LCD-displays on glass substrate and glass in front of the display.

Amoled displays on polyamide plastic substrate will weigh 1-2gram instead of LCD-displays in Samrtphones that weigh 30gram.

  • Sure it looks awesome, but I’ve heard LCD and E Ink are getting to be plastics based also. Thus I guess that the graphene based capacitive touch screens can work on LCD and E Ink also.
