SMiT MID-560 Android Tablet at CES 2010

They worked on it since my IFA 2009 video, now the design of this Samsung ARM9 based 4.8″ Android tablet is closer to final. It seems responsive, fast, they are showing it with the Google Marketplace integrated (probably a hack for now) and they are basically saying that it is final and ready to be shipped to distributors.

As of mid April they are still not shipping, but with the company name Enso, they are doing a fantastic amount of publicity. Something is wrong here when they say they are shipping but are not.
  • Their "fantastic" amount of publicity is Enso basically stealing my videos, without even giving me any credit, editing out the part where it says "SMiT" and releasing my video to all the blogs.

As of April these publicity geniuses, now called Enso, are still not shipping. Something is very wrong here!
  • Enso is not SMiT, the device they purport to be selling is the SMiT MID-560 though. But no connection between the two entities exists, except SMiT confirms shipping a sample device to Enso.
  • Nice video, Charbax!

The SMiT MID-560 is not ARM9 powered but ARM11. It is using (according to SMiT´s Website) the Samsung S3C6410 (http://semicon.samsung.de/applicationprocessors/tracking/aboutS3C6410.aspx) - just like the Smart Devices Q5 and Q7. And guess what, the 1080p capable V5 and V7 are using a Telechips SoC as well :-)
