Goclever INSIGNIA 785 PRO, Windows 8.1 Intel tablet

Goclever shows their latest Intel powered ipad-mini style tablet, the INSIGNIA 785 PRO. The INSIGNIA 785 PRO is powered by a 2.0Ghz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 CPU, has a 7.85″ 1024 x 768 resolution IPS display and costs 199 euro. The other Goclever Intel tablet introduced in this video is an 10.1″ tablet powered by Intel Processor. The tablet comes with a magnetic detachable origami-style case with keyboard and touchpad.

Huawei Set-top-box User Interface Concept

Huawei is working on making an innovation interface concept for set-top-boxes and Smart TV solutions. Huawei already has many set-top-boxes in the market with standard User Interface design but they are planning to integrate this new technology to beyond coming devices. Users may have the ability to switch different content for different ages and groups of people easily. This software interface is mainly targeted for set-top-box solutions but has similar design for mobile devices since it is generally based on android. You can stream content from the TV or Android Box to the smartphone or vice versa. The design concept is still in its first steps and is the main user interface for the set-top-box and its based in Android operating system but it can be done also over Linux-based or general web-based.

Vipstech introducing their newest Android Projectors. One of the Android Projectors uses DLP projecting technology, has a 800 x 480 projecting resolution and costs $215. This android projector can be controlled by an air mouse or a normal mouse. Another Android projector  with higher specs and bigger size emits light with higher capacity and has a 1280 x 800 projecting resolution. This android projector can be controlled by a touchpad which is located at the top of the device and this android projector costs $600. Vipstech also makes power banks and tv boxes.

Zivi is a ShenZhen based company that makes smartphones and tablets. Zivi 3.5inch, mt6572 dual-core costs $36 for MOQ 10K. One of hottest products for the moment is their octa-core smartphone with 5inch FHD screen sold for $118. They are showing here their Broadcom line. There are a bunch of cost-efficient smartphones and tablets in different sizes powered by Broadcom chipsets. Zivi sells around 300,000 to 500,000 units per month.

pcDuino is an Allwinner A20-based development board targetted at education and hackers, it can run Android and Ubuntu among other. It has HDMI, Wi-Fi, 1GB RAM, 4GB Flash, and hardware headers interface compatible with Arduino (14xGPIO, 2xPWM, 6xADC, 1xUART, 1xSPI, 1xI2C). pcDuino can be used to teach Python, C and other things. pcDuino provides a Maker Space in Shenzhen where hackers and enthusiasts can come to hack some things based on the pcDuino. Sunchip RK3288 HDMI Stick and Set-top-box


Shenzhen Sunchip shows their RK3288 based HDMI Stick and Set-top-box PCB, the hardware is ready, they just need another month or so for the software to be ready and optimized. We’re talking Quad-core ARM Cortex-A17 (according to Rockchip and posters), Mali-T674 GPU. Sunchip sells about 30K HDMI Sticks and Set-top-boxes per month. In this video, Arnd walks Matt Porter through creation and posting of a pull request for the mach-bcm/ platform. The Goclever Chronos Smartwatch is just about to be launched for 49€ and features basic Bluetooth 4.0 Notifications for Calls, Email, SMS and Calendar. The Goclever team has finished working on hardware and is working on software to make this smartwatch compatible with many devices that have Bluetooth 4.0 LE like some Samsung and Apple devices as well as to support all of MediaTek and Broadcom. The Chronos has an always-on display and the battery lasts for up to 150 days. Goclever sells their products throughout Europe. Chronos smartwatch will cost only 49€ or 199 polish zloty.

Panasonic has developed the “PH1-Pro4” single-chip system LSI to support high-quality and multi-channel video distribution. PH1-Pro4 can compress/decompress 3-stream full-HD video data simultaneously. For VGA, 12 streams can be handled simultaneously. With PH1-Pro4, you can quickly develop a home media server to view different images simultaneously through different media, such as TV, smartphone, tablet, PC, and so on. Implementing PH1-Pro4 into cloud-based products allows them to be a low-power system with minimal component count. Luckystar shows their latest tablets. A Luckystar 3G tablet with 7.85inch IPS display, 1Gb of RAM and powered by Mediatek MTK8382 quad-core CPU costs around $109. The tablet comes in different colors and has 8Gb of internal storage expendable by SD Card. Another new Luckystar successful tablet has a 9.7inch Retina IPS display, 2Gb of RAM and powered by Rockchip RK3188 quad-core CPU. This tablet has 16Gb of internal storage expendable by SD Card. This tablet with the 3G calling function costs $158 and without 3G calling function costs $138. Luckystar sells more than 300k devices per month. Aprolink shows RK3168 SmartGlass


Aprolink is a Taiwanese company that is currently working on smart watch and smart glasses solutions. They are showing their new smart glasses along with a smart watch with a small OLED display. The smart glasses module is detachable that can be put on and off even in your prescription glasses. The smart glasses are powered by a Rockchip RK3168 CPU. The device has a HD micro display by Himax and runs Android 4.2. The smart glasses can be connected with other devices with its Bluetooth 4.0 and has a battery life expected up to 3 hours with its 500mAh battery. Aprolink smart glasses can be controlled by a touchpad that is located on the right side of the device and the retail price is expected to be under $500.
