This company is making a bunch of interesting Android tablets, based on the Telechips ARM11 processor, with 1080p video playback support, built-in HDMI outputs, resistive screens for now and cheap prices.

Eken has this low cost Telechips based Android tablet. They can sell it for $95 per tablet for orders of at least a thousand pieces.

Here’s a new Telechip TCC8902 based Android tablet that can output 1080p video in some limited way. It is still unclear what if any 720p and 1080p video playback limitations Telechips might have. Playback of 1080p MKV H264 high profile with DTS audio at very high bitrates using HDMI output might not be totally smooth. Web browsing isARM11 powered which makes it slower than the ARM Cortex A8 and A9 tablets that are coming out for more expensive prices.

$129 Android 2.1 HD Set Top Box

Keenhigh mediatech is showing this awesome looking Telechips based Android 2.1 set-top-box at Computex. This is close to what the ARM Powerd Google TV devices might look like. Add to it the HDMI pass-through and IR blaster of the Google TV spec, and add perhaps an ARM Cortex A9 processor, and you will have the potentially $99 Android set-top-box.

This is a 7″ Windows CE tablet, but with a very interesting user interface, comes with GPS, HDMI output, based on a Telechips processor that playsback 1080p video, is based on Windows CE that I think is made to look like Android.
