This video provides an operational overview of the Las Vegas Loop system, focusing on the new connection to the Harry Reid International Airport. The ride originates from the Resorts World station, with the destination set for Terminal 3. The airport tunnel itself is structurally complete, with finalization of logistics such as communication and lighting systems underway. Testing of the direct tunnel route to the airport is expected to begin within a few weeks of filming.

HDMI® Technology is the foundation for the worldwide ecosystem of HDMI-connected devices; integrated with displays, set-top boxes, laptops, audio video receivers and other product types. Because of this global usage, manufacturers, resellers, integrators and consumers must be assured that their HDMI® products work seamlessly together and deliver the best possible performance by sourcing products from licensed HDMI Adopters or authorized resellers. For HDMI Cables, consumers can look for the official HDMI® Cable Certification Labels on packaging. Innovation continues with the latest HDMI 2.2 Specification that supports higher 96Gbps bandwidth and next-gen HDMI Fixed Rate Link technology to provide optimal audio and video for a wide range of device applications. Higher resolutions and refresh rates are supported, including up to 12K@120 and 16K@60. Additionally, more high-quality options are supported, including uncompressed full chroma formats such as 8K@60/4:4:4 and 4K@240/4:4:4 at 10-bit and 12-bit color.

Currently, the trip to the airport is a hybrid journey. The vehicle travels 5.1 miles within the existing tunnel network from Resorts World to the Las Vegas Convention Center’s South Hall. From the South Hall, the vehicle surfaces and completes the remaining 4.7 miles to the airport on Paradise Road. The future direct airport tunnel will connect from the Westgate and Encore area of the system, providing a continuous underground route.

The Las Vegas Loop already operates daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., connecting key locations like Resorts World, Fontainebleau, and Westgate to the Convention Center, independent of convention schedules. The addition of the airport connection is expected to significantly increase ridership and establish the Loop as a primary transit option for visitors. During the NAB show, the system demonstrated its capacity by transporting 14,000 people on the first day and a 15% increase on the second.

Future expansion plans for the Loop are extensive. The system is set to extend west of the Strip to destinations including Rancho, the Link hotel, Allegiant Stadium, and UNLV. Further expansion to additional resorts along the Las Vegas Strip is also anticipated, with the goal of having some new destinations operational within the next year. This rapid expansion is facilitated by new tunneling technology.

A new “porpoise-style” drilling machine is being used, which significantly accelerates tunnel construction. On its best days, this machine can excavate up to half a mile of tunnel while simultaneously assembling the concrete support rings behind it. This integrated process is key to the rapid build-out of the network, with the goal of having the direct airport tunnel fully operational for major events like the upcoming CES.
