http://smartshuttle.ch provides public transportation in areas where it not widely available or difficult to provide. The shuttles are autonomous and provide a small amount of seats. The service is currently operating as a test service in Switzerland and some units have already been deployed. The shuttle can turn around automatically and can run on narrow streets and narrow turns. PostBus and the Mobility Lab Sion-Valais (City of Sion, Canton Valais, HeS-So, EPFL, Swiss Post) intend to use the SmartShuttle project to learn how to deploy autonomous shuttles in the public sphere.
