At ISE 2025, Audinate’s booth showcased the capabilities of Dante, their audio and video networking technology. Dante enables the transmission of uncompressed, multi-channel digital audio and video over standard Ethernet networks, eliminating the need for traditional analog cables. This approach allows devices to be interconnected via the network, facilitating the routing of audio and video signals to any desired location.

In their theater area, Audinate conducted 20-minute presentations highlighting the integration of Dante technology. The setup featured video transmission using Dante AV Ultra and audio managed through products from various Dante-enabled audio manufacturers, including Yamaha, Sennheiser, Allen & Heath, and Focusrite. This configuration demonstrated Dante’s interoperability across different brands and devices.

A practical example of Dante’s application was illustrated through the recording process. Audio was captured using Dante Virtual Soundcard Pro, while video input was managed via vMix from a Dante AV-enabled camera. Additionally, content from the presenter’s laptop was seamlessly integrated into the system, showcasing Dante’s versatility in handling diverse media sources.

Audinate also introduced their new line of Dante AVIO adapters designed for installation purposes. These adapters come equipped with mounting brackets, allowing for secure placement in racks or under podiums, and feature Phoenix connectors to simplify connections without the need for modifying existing cables. This design enhances the ease of integrating legacy audio equipment into modern networked systems.

The scalability of Dante was emphasized, noting that it operates efficiently over gigabit networks. A standard gigabit network can handle up to 512×512 audio channels, and increasing network capacity can further expand this capability, accommodating larger and more complex audio-visual installations.

Since its inception in 2006, Audinate has expanded its ecosystem to include approximately 600 manufacturers and around 6,000 Dante-enabled products. This extensive adoption underscores Dante’s role in advancing networked audio and video solutions across the professional AV industry.

Throughout ISE 2025, Audinate collaborated with manufacturing partners, end-users, and installation integrators to present case studies and discuss the latest developments in Dante technology. These sessions provided insights into practical applications and the evolving landscape of networked AV solutions.
