A focal point of the presentation was the P-AVN-4, a 4K60 transceiver powered by PoE+ that functions in both encoding and decoding modes. This device features a front-panel display for easy identification of its operational mode and IP address, facilitating straightforward access to its local interface. Additionally, it supports USB routing and incorporates Dante for audio-over-IP capabilities, enhancing its versatility in diverse AV setups.

The P-AVN-4’s design allows for flexible installation options, including rack-mounted configurations. PlexusAV offers solutions accommodating up to three units per rack unit or a high-density option supporting up to 14 units across, optimizing space utilization in various deployment scenarios.

Operating efficiently on standard 1 Gigabit network switches, the P-AVN-4 eliminates the need for specialized networking equipment. Its front-panel display provides critical information, including device mode, customizable naming, and IP address, streamlining device management and control.

Complementing the hardware, PlexusAV introduced the Visual Array management platform. Available in both mini PC and server configurations, Visual Array offers comprehensive control over connected devices. Its dashboard provides real-time device statistics, alarm aggregation, and tools such as IGMP auto-detect and IP conflict detection. The platform supports bulk deployment, allowing for rapid configuration of multiple units, and features live video thumbnails for efficient content monitoring.

Another significant innovation is the Stream Conversion Gateway (P-AVN-SCG), designed to integrate various IP-based technologies into a unified ecosystem. This gateway supports multiple protocols, including SRT, NDI-HX, RTSP, and MPEG-TS, enabling the conversion of these streams into IPMX signals. This functionality allows for seamless incorporation of diverse technologies, such as NDI cameras and encoders, into existing AV infrastructures.

The Stream Conversion Gateway also facilitates the conversion of IPMX signals to other protocols, providing flexibility in signal distribution across different platforms. This capability is particularly beneficial for applications requiring bandwidth optimization, such as streaming over wireless networks or the internet, where adaptive bitrate management is crucial.

PlexusAV’s solutions are built upon FPGA technology, ensuring accelerated performance and adaptability to evolving AV-over-IP standards. The company’s commitment to IPMX positions its products as future-proof solutions, offering interoperability with other vendors and the flexibility to expand ecosystems without the need for extensive infrastructure overhauls.

Despite being a relatively new entrant in the AV-over-IP market, PlexusAV benefits from the extensive experience of its parent company, Sencore, which has over 70 years of industry expertise. This combination of innovative technology and seasoned industry knowledge underscores PlexusAV’s dedication to delivering high-quality, interoperable AV solutions.
