At Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025, Megapixel VR showcased their Ventana microLED display at the Crestron booth. This impressive installation measured 4.8 meters in width and 1.2 meters in height, utilizing ultra-thin, 300×300 mm Ventana tiles with a depth of only 18 mm. The display featured a matte finish, optimized for high ambient light environments, making it ideal for settings like trade shows with bright lighting.
The Ventana microLED tiles boast a fine 0.8mm pixel pitch, delivering exceptional image clarity and color accuracy. Each tile integrates seamlessly into the overall display, ensuring a uniform and immersive visual experience. The matte finish reduces glare, enhancing visibility in brightly lit spaces, while the glossy variant is suited for controlled lighting environments such as screening rooms.
Driving the Ventana display is Megapixel’s Helios processing system, equipped with the PX1 card in every tile. This advanced processing technology, recognized with both Oscar and Emmy awards, originates from virtual production studios and is now applied to LED display walls in various sectors, including hospitality, residential, and retail applications.
The installation process involves a rigid subframe, often constructed from aluminum or steel, to which tiles are attached using magnetic pucks. A magnetic power and data system creates a mesh network, allowing for easy removal and replacement of individual tiles. Comprehensive calibration techniques ensure a seamless and vibrant display, with uniformity across all tiles.
The Helios processor, housed in a single rack unit, connects to the tile array via fiber optics, supporting high frame rates essential for applications like virtual production studios. The system’s capability to handle hundreds of frames per second ensures smooth and dynamic content delivery.
At the Crestron booth, the Ventana display was integrated with Crestron’s new DM NAX system, an AV-over-IP solution within the Crestron ecosystem. This integration highlights the display’s compatibility with advanced AV distribution systems, expanding its applicability in modern installations.
With a brightness of 1,000 nits, the Ventana display delivers vivid visuals suitable for various applications. Its adoption in premium enterprise and conference room settings underscores its effectiveness in telepresence conferencing, information display, and brand design use.
Megapixel VR’s Ventana microLED display represents a significant advancement in display technology, combining ultra-thin design with high performance. Its versatility across different environments and seamless integration capabilities make it a compelling choice for those seeking cutting-edge visual solutions.
