Anthony Ambrose, President and CEO of Data I/O, talks at Embedded World 2023 in Nuremberg Germany about how Data I/O helps OEMs and their electronics manufacturers simplify defining security requirements (use cases) for their semiconductor device in engineering and provisioning the devices in manufacturing. Some examples of common use cases OEMs require for IoT security include: IC Authentication, Device Identity, Cloud Onboarding, Secure Boot, Secure Communications, Firmware Updates, Firmware Protections, Mutual Authentications and more. Data I/O is showcasing in the embedded world booth the PSV5000 enabled to support the SentriX security provisioning process in manufacturing. The PSV5000 provisions the semiconductor devices during a pre-programming process before the devices are placed on the PCB boards ensuring that the semiconductor devices are secured at the earliest point during the manufacturing process.
