Phaeton DVIP $200 Android Watch uses MTK6516 with dual-SIM

Shenzhen Phaeton Nice Electronic High-Tech Manufacturing Co Ltd is showing this Android Watch shown at CES 2012. It supports 2 SIM GPRS/voice cards on the MTK6516 processor, soon they’ll use the faster 3G-enabled MTK6573 processor. For now it’s Froyo, the MTK6573 may support Ice Cream Sandwich soon, to be confirmed. So this is not just an Android watch, thanks to the Mediatek processor, it can replace your smartphone. It has a built-in camera, MicroSD card slot, speaker, microphone and more. It uses a 2″ 320×240 QVGA capacitive touch screen, standby battery can be about 1 week, 36 hours active use, to be confirmed. The price is just $200 for bulk orders, minimum order quantity of 500. That looks awesome! Yeah I’d like a sub-$100 Android watch with Bluetooth 4.0, no need for built-in 3G/4G/LTE, using the 7″ Tablet or 5″ Smartphone as relay for connectivity is fine. All that I want is for the watch to display smart informations in real-time such as when I receive important emails, Google+ messages, Tweets, RSS updates on my favorite blogs, comments on my blog, etc, it should display notifications and even vibrate or make a sound on the most important updates, letting me glance at the notification on my watch before I decide if it’s worth taking out the 7″ Tablet or/and 5″ Smartphone from the pocket. Other basic things as initiating a VOIP call to a pre-selected important contact or answering a call also using a bluetooth headset (snapped to the upper part of my jacket). And there are a few more basic features I’d like to be on the watch, and yes it’d be best with it being as thin and light as a Swatch watch.
