Netronix 9.7″ Freescale i.MX51 Android Tablet

Netronix is one of the major e-ink based e-reader makers from Taiwan, they are now also making Android LCD tablets. This one is basically as good as an iPad, with exactly the same LG 9.7″ capacitive LCD as on the iPad1, but it can be sold at half the price, around $250.

    With the influx of Android tablets, we’d better hope those patent infringements aren’t true, because that’ll topple the Android tower, bringing down a lot of OEMs with it… But this is a great product, with an even better price point.

    Non of the Linux patent trolls have any merit. No we are not going to accept ever if any judge decides to say that somehow Linux should be illegal. Or that if Java once was open that somehow Oracle could close it down after acquiring the company. There will always be patent trolls trying to disrupt successful Linux projects, Microsoft, Apple leading the pack of trolls, but they know they will never win anything anymore.
