Archos 101 Internet Tablet, 10.1″ capacitive Android 2.2 Froyo $299 Tablet

Probably one of the most affordable 10.1″ capacitive Android 2.2 ARM Cortex A8 45nm tablets, with beautiful built-in HDMI output and full sized USB host, it’ll come starting at $299 for the 8GB model with MicroSD slot, it’s amazingly thin and light, 480gr that is 30% less heavy than the iPad and it’s got 12% more screen surface area than the iPad.

    After seeing most of the videos uploaded here, (thanks Charbax), I definately like the A101.

    Probably the best features for the money when compared to some of the other tablets.

    I'm starting to save up now.

    I will definitely buy this tablet. I'm sick of hearing talk about the iPad and I'm sick of iOSX. I want openness and I want freedom :)

    About time the start using capacitive touchscreens. They make good products and were short changing themselves with the resistive screens. I will be buying this thats for sure.

    Have to say that i wanted an ipad in the start because i already got a htc desire, but now i am so getting the Archos 101! i think that its awesome.. In Denmark Ipad cost 4300,- kr. and that is 780$ in usa.. but the archos only cost 2500,- 450$ in usa.
    The reason why i want the iPad is that Archos 101 only got the appslib, and the ipad got the really great Appstore.. But i have seen your newest video with froyo 2.2 and that you easily can download the Android market.. THUMBS UP!

    this looks so sweet, iPads really are going to have their butts handed to them. It gives you less exclusivity with better work flow, designation, and design. Forward facing camera is a cool feature, I’m sure they’ll have something on it like the face time apples developed. Screw health care, I’m pumping the tech sect instead
