If they make OLEDs cheaper then great, but for now it doesn’t seem to be affordable. I want to buy a 4K 55″ now, and if I can get one for $600 here in China, that would be great, I just want HDMI 2.0, I want to be sure the quality is usable as a desktop monitor also and I want to be sure it’s real 4K and not some fake 4K somehow.

Californian based Kateeva have now established facility in South Korea for be closer to its forthcoming industrial partners in developing manufactoring tech for implementing their Ink Jet tech for making large Amoled displays.

Well right now OLED is much more expensive isn’t it. Panasonic told me nearly 2 years ago that they could print OLED for cheap http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBb5BW44yJ0 but I don’t think anyone is able to print OLED yet for cheap. Right here in Shenzhen I think there might be 55″ 4K LCD for $600. Sure it may not be top of the line quality, but in Switzerland I saw 50″ Samsung 4K for about $800.

With patents and know-how from Kateeva,Dupont,Universaldisplay among many oter developing companies in the OLED-business will even larger oLED-displays be up to 40 per cent cheaper than todays largest LCD-TV.
