But why must USB consortium release a new contact as “dual sided Type-C connector” when micro USB works well?
USB from the beginning was dual sided but became single sided, after some critics.

European Commission have recently announced that they will force the computer industry to use one and same power contact in all types of computers for making less environment problems with all types of different power contacts.
European Commission like the micro-USB standard and dislike that Apple don’t want to follow rest of the mobile phone industry which have decided for using the micro-USB contact for power charging batteries.

And now will the USB consortium release the “dual sided Type C connector”
