Coresonic was a spin-off company from Linkoping Technical University.

So, MediaTek have ambitions to be one of the top players in the SoC-market in the
progress towards more and more cores and softradio-block for many different wireless networks
which is now developing towards MIMO.
According to the standardizing organisation 3GPP supports LTE-standard 2×2 and 4×4 MIMO
which is next step for LTE networks to develop towards.
Canonical crowdfunding project Ubuntu Edge phone on indiegogo, shall have LTE dual antennas,
this is the first step toward MIMO in LTE networks.
So, forthcoming years will not only Wifi-networks develops towards MIMO as in Wifi n and ac standards.
