The speed is super smooth. I do not believe that mainstream tablets are smoother, I think that’s more of an illusion or something. Especially even the cheapest Android tablets run super smooth now with Android 4.1, and Linaro has further optimizations for Android that can further smooth out all of those tablets, even the single-core ARM Cortex-A8 ones. But here, you want dual-core cortex-A9 with the quad-core Mali-400 to do things smoothly like this N64 emulation, for faster multi-tab web browsing and some other emerging Android uses like full desktop mode, full set-top-box mode, HD outputs of the user interface, etc.
