Specifically a) battery capacity (plus are additional batteries available) and
b) what frequencies can the 3G radio access. Unfortuently in Australia we’ve seen divergence in the carriers. With 2 of the 3 networks going down the 850/2100 route while the other Optus using 900/2100 apparantly being a pioneer for ‘recycling’ its 900 MHz GSM licence using it to piggyback UMTS.

I’d be very curious in any multiband phones but for better or worse in Aus it seems like Samsung are the only player on the market at the moment.
