So, now with 802.11u and Passpoint identification system of SIM-cards FONeros will be much more common even in countries were typical Telecom companies until today have worked against Wifi-networks like FON.

But with the boom of Smartphone users Wifi is needed even for mobile operators so thier mobile networks won´t be overloaded of data trafic.
