As Google spokeswoman say in your linked article “with success comes scrutiny” of course is it that make all competitors interested to knock Google down.

You just confirmed in your comment the very point you were laughing at: Android is open source and free.

Beside this some types of OS for Smartphone and tablet pc we will se a combat between ARM and Intel,

Even if Android is not so Open Source as your link to Arstechnica say so will the Armdroid (ARM+Android) concept win over Apple because so many different companies use Android OS for Smartphones and tablet pc.

One company with one OS can never win over many different companies in the long run that uses one OS or similar OS and making many types of sollutions of uses of ARM processors.

Skype version 5.5 have announced that (Google aquired On2 Technologies VP8 videocodec as Google have released as WebM videocodec standard under Open Source and royalty free licens) shall be using this VP8 videocodec.

Which should be some difficulties now when Microsoft have announced that they shall aquire Skype.

Microsoft will both sue Google and use Google aquired On2 Technologies videocodec VP8 – for free!

Android is one of the least open source projects around.

Not to mention Google have been caught bullying companies using Android, seriously your whole post makes zero sense and Apple are doing more than just fine being closed source and commercial.
