That’s not a sale, the Arnova G2 are better, have better processor and the better screen that I talk about in this video.

What is Rokchip and what Honeycomb? Is it true that it can’t play youtube? Can you go to the regular (normal) Facebook site, like on computer?

— $149 for a resistive RK2818-based model and the same $149 for a capacitive RK2918-based model? Really? With a $30-$50 difference in costs? Chinese Alibaba.com again?
— it’s April 2011, not 2010, so if put it into a perspective, it might compete — with its 2.5-5 MBps video playing — with NookColor on Froyo, but it’s only when on 7″…8″ =>170 dpi screen. Lower specs on screen quality and no Gingerbread/Honeycomb on release date leaves the model in the discount box of the supermarket for “ladies” here in US;
— I don’t see anything Archos/Arnova doing here any more better than the supposedly original Ramos W15 does. IMHO, if Archos means to stay relevant in 2011 and beyond, they need to build something based on TI OMAP4 (or better OMAP5) platforms. Or Qualcomm’s MSM8660 dual cores with their 18 Mbits per second 3D HD video. Junk tablets might be good for Russia and France and US “ladies” marts, but they are definitely out of the main race. Which is to be put into the same sentence as the iPad2, you know. So far Moto Xoom fails miserably in benchmarks and just snappiness, you may have a look at my blog fineoils.blogspot.com

good product prices infallibly. But I a media freak, so the black bars when
viewing a 16:9 clip might drive me crazy, but that’s just me…

I’m not sure. Some people prefer 4:3 tablets, made popular with ipad. I think the Arnova 7 is going to be similar to being a successor to Archos 7 Home Tablet, will be 7″ 16:9 aspect ratio.

I hope they market it to the right demographic to maximize sales. Good product for cost, good product overall.
