the software side of the Atrix is actually quite good, and there are
lots of little improvements the company has made to bring Android
together in a bit more of a cohesive manner. It also helps that Google
has begun to independently update its core apps (such as Gmail and Maps)
outside of system updates, which means you’ll get the same experience
in many places that you would on an untainted Nexus S running
Gingerbread.

I think he’s mistaken about it doing 1280×1024. Tegra 2 is capable of 1080P output (HDTV 1920×1080). Even more it is capable of dual-display, and not just mirroring. Can you verify?

It’s too bad they couldn’t setup the laptop base while still having the cell phone’s screen visible. That would be killer. Still pretty cool.

I’m more interested in it being used with my home’s HDMI monitor and a normal USB keyboard and USB mouse. Can you take some video of how it works in that mode? Does the ATRIX’s screen turn off, mirror with the desktop, or are they independent displays? Can you configure it to do any/all of those multi-monitor modes?
