Ahh. Quad-HD is an interesting use of data but don’t forget TV is showing us things moving sometimes. Why when our displays can show at 60fps are our movies only 24fps. I bought a Samsung 2233rz 3D ready LCD just so I could have 120fps and make my games smoother and crisper due to less motion blur. Youtube also supports 120fps which I approve.

1. In the living room environment, Bittorrent would seem to work best when paired with an RSS subscription to automate the process. I’m sure it will happen.

2. For DVR functions, consider also ‘network tuners’ like the SiliconDust HDHomeRun and Monsoon Vulkano.

3. For gaming, a platform like nVidia Tegra2 might produce decent results at 720p. I’d love to see a nice handheld controller with accelerometer + compass + gyroscope and maybe a multitouch trackpad. I hope Logitech is listening, as they already make game controllers and a GoogleTV box.

5. As for content publishing, I think this is what Google might have had in mind when they bought Episodic.
