Gaia Communications Corp does NEC/Renesas Cortex-A9 tablet platforms

This Taiwanese company designs and develops NEC/Renesas based PCBA for some of these interesting new NEC/Renesas based 533Mhz ARM Cortex-A9 based tablets that are coming out. The price using Gaia's NEC/Renesas solution can be $110 for the 7" 800x480 capacitive, and $150 for the 7" 1024x600 capacitive with 3G when purchased in very large quantities.

NEC/Renesas 533Mhz Dual-Core ARM Cortex-A9 based smooth looking capacitive tablet to be sold at $125 for bulk orders (of at least 1000 pieces). This is the first tablet that I have seen that is using the Renesas/NEC 1.2Ghz ARM Cortex-A9 Dual-Core processor platform (Renesas and NEC are collaborating on this ARM Cortex-A9 Dual-Core processor targeted at consumer electronics devices). I wonder how good this $135 Dual-Core Cortex-A9 tablet performs, I'll try to get a sample to review further for you later during the next few days.
