Samsung Displays showcases their 5.09" and 5.77" light field displays for advanced AR applications, the first of it's kind to combine AR, 3D and light fields into one portable display. Sound integrated in display through a future AMOLED phone, aqua force sensor, their highest resolution VR display does 4K in a 2.43" 1200ppi display, with 250nits. They have an unbreakable display, a rollable display, a curved conformed display. Transparent HUD displays to eventually integrate into the windows and windshield of a car. Samsung's 4K 31.5" QD Glass and their 8K 65" QD Glass displays are also showcased to highlight their cutting edge Quantum Dot based LCD technology.
Huawei's Honor group launches the new Honor 10 Smartphone at $399, it comes with a Notch (which I don't understand why, except for copying Apple's mistake), it runs on the ultra fast Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor but they did not include the PC Mode in this one, that PC Mode is only available in Huawei Mate 10 and P20. The very glimmering back side of the phone is a fingerprint magnet, not sure if the effect looks as good if a transparent back case is used. They use an ultrasonic based front side finderprint reader, though I prefer when fingerprint readers are on the back.
Inneos Real4K Optical Adapters are an award winning 18G optical solution that is “designed for deployment”. You can run fiber the same way you install category cabling and then connect Real4K optical adapters wherever you need them. Unlike fixed length optical cables, Real4K optical adapters connect using standard multimode fiber, which can be pulled and terminated in the field. Standard SC connectors and inexpensive optical wall plates make this a better way to deploy 4K video.
They introduce Invisicable technology which is a single translucent fiber that looks like monofilament fishing line. It almost disappears in plain sight because it can be difficult to see against a wall at about 5-6 feet. In addition, it’s so thin that 125 feet fits on a special rubber reel that fits into the palm of your hand. Because it’s so thin, it can also be embedded in dry wall. Not pulled through, but embedded in the surface of dry wall by scoring the wall and inserting the fiber and then painting over it. Feedback at CES, was that this would be “game changing” especially where hiding the cable is important, but pulling through walls not desirable (or not possible in the case of condos/apartments). They introduce three kits with 10’, 125’ and then a complete kits with 300’ of in wall fiber, plus two 10’ Invisicable lengths and wall plates.
Teledyne is a manufacturer of test equipment for hdmi displays. The Teledyne 980 is a laboratory test device for all types of hdmi 2.1 devices. The Teledyne LeCroy quantumdata 980 HDMI Protocol Analyzer module supports deep analysis of HDMI and MHL streams as well as HDMI, MHL and HDCP compliance testing for source, sink, repeater/dongle devices.
The Teledyne LeCroy quantumdata 780E is a handheld digital video generator and analyzer that enables you to run tests on various digital video devices and network distribution devices on site or in the R&D lab. The 780E instrument provides a 7 inch color touch screen for operation and for viewing status of outgoing and incoming video and audio. The 780E is equipped with DisplayPort, HDMI and HDBaseT interfaces. Each digital interface is supported by both an output port and an input port to allow testing of digital video sources, displays, audio devices and distribution devices.
The Teledyne 280 provides testing home cinema systems with resolutions up to 4k at 60hz at 4:4:4
The Astro Design VG-879 is a video signal generator and can be used for testing the majority of devices with the HDMI standard, up to 8k 120hz at 4:4:4. The Astro Design VA-1844a is an HDMI protocal analyzer for 8k resolutions such as cables and displays and the unit features a touchscreen for the user interface.

Factory tour showing testing process and SMT line of the Colorii Thunderbolt3 Type C HUB. Colorii's testing process confirms every hub must work perfectly doing a total of 8 different test for each unit separating the testing of video, data and charging:
1st test is testing the PCBA with power consumption, to check if the PCBA is short circuited. 2nd test they flash the firmware into the hub, at this time they can also check whether the PCBA work correctly. 3rd test is testing the data function of each port, including 1*Thunderbolt3, 1*USB Type C port, 2*USB3.0 A port, 1*SD card, 1*micro SD card port. 4th test is testing the video out function, checking the HDMI out is working correctly. 5th test is testing the charging function is working correctly. Then after assembly, the finished products are tested again to check data transfer, video and charging function again. 6th test is testing the data function of each port, including 1*Thunderbolt3, 1*USB Type C port, 2*USB3.0 A port, 1*SD card, 1*micro SD card port. 7th test is testing the video out function, checking the HDMI out is working correctly. 8th test is testing the charging function is working correctly.

Allwinner V5 chip uses the HawkView 5.0 image processing engine, which integrates 2D/3D intelligent noise reduction, frame width dynamic synthesis, sharpening enhancement, specific color enhancement and other image pre-processing technologies, combined with various types of image scene requirements, for each frame of the picture it applies real-time fine detail recovery. This chipset is for the "real" 4K action camera and 4K-enhanced security camera solutions, where smart object tracking can enhance the resolution only of the moving objects to save on bandwidth. Also the Allwinner V5 encodes using H265 to provide for about the same quality at about half the bitrate compared with H264.
