Sensel Force Touch Technology

Posted by – August 3, 2017

Sensel high resolution touch screen  technology senses force with a high degree of accuracy. The touch sensor offers a high dynamic range of force and can sense both how much force as well as the size of the object applying the force. The touch sensors are not capacitive and can therefore sense any item, such as styli or gloves touching the sensors. The technology can integrate with both Eink or OLED displays. There are also touch overlays for such things as pianos. Filmed at the I-Zone startups and New Tech Demos area at the SID Display Week.

Sun Yat-Sen 3D Lightfield Technology

Posted by – August 3, 2017

Focus convergence conflict (AC-conflict or VAC) is the main visual bottleneck of 3D and virtual reality technology. 3D Lightfield technology overcomes the focus – convergence conflict problem. The light field 3D is simple in optical structure, which enables 3D rendering of full-resolution of a light field without a significant increase in the amount of data. The observer can receive real 3D spatial scenes and focus on any depth of the scene. Filmed at the I-Zone startups and New Tech Demos area at the SID Display Week.

Peratech 3D force-sensing Touch sensors

Posted by – July 15, 2017

Peratech 3D multi-touch matrix sensors unlock the next-generation in HMI experiences, enabling new gestures, simplified interfaces, and endless flexibility. So sensitive they can be integrated under multiple top surfaces including plastics, metals, glass and flexible displays. Better still, they can be deployed in curved applications. Because our matrix sensor can be dynamically reconfigured through firmware, a single or small number of sensor design(s) can fit multiple applications, dramatically reducing development and tooling costs. Peratech 3D multi-touch sensors are low power, immune to EMI and water events, work with gloved hands and passive stylus, and can be transparent as well as opaque. Filmed at the SID Display Week.
