Global semiconductor maker SK hynix Inc. unveils its newest offerings, the “Platinum P31” and “Gold P31” PCIe NVMe consumer Solid State Drives (SSDs). The new products are currently on display in SK hynix’s booth #13529 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020, which is being held from January 7th to 10th in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Platinum P31 and Gold P31 PCIe NVMe SSDs are built with SK hynix’s proprietary technology, including the world’s first 128-layer NAND flash to enter mass production and the HYPERWRITE technology that accelerates sequential write speeds using SLC buffer.

In addition to these enhancements, SK hynix’s PCIe drives deliver unsurpassed performance with sequential read speeds up to 3,500MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 3,200MB/s. These products offer up to 1,500 Terabytes Written (TBW), the highest TBW within the same PCIe NVMe product category as of December 2019, as well as superior quality, reliability, and a five-year warranty.

The names “Platinum” and “Gold” represent two different product segments within SK hynix’s series of consumer SSDs, where Platinum indicates flagship models, and Gold the mainstream versions.

“We pride ourselves on developing and introducing SSDs with the most innovative technology available,” said an SK hynix spokesperson. “We are excited to introduce SK hynix’s Gold S31 SATA, Gold P31 PCIe, and Platinum P31 PCIe SSDs for the first time at CES, at a time when the brand continues to expand its presence in the United States.”
