Bero shows his ARM Desktop and ARM Laptop

Posted by Charbax – October 3, 2017

Bero (Bernhard Rosenkränzer) from the Linaro Mobile Group set out this week as you can see in my previous video to build and bring up his ARM Desktop based on the Quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 Marvell MACCHIATObin development board with a Radeon or Nvidia GPU. Bero also built his own ARM Laptop based on the Dragonboard 820 running Open Mandriva Linux.

  • David Vincent

    Bero is the man!

  • Archall

Mali drivers on Linux and VPU implementation on Linux so I could travel with ARM Linux laptop 😀
Honestly I don’t see it happening any time soon, but it would be nice Christmases gift.

  • The performance of these two and the Ubuntu dex demo on the Samsung S8 looks very good even with heavy applications.

Why arent we seeing ARM Linux laptops on the market commercially? Or at least as Kickstarter projects?
