		<description>Charbax, why do you prefer LCD displays?

Is it because LCD:s are less power efficient than OLED:s!

Forthcoming years flexible Amoled:s will be more and more common.
Samsung starts making flexible Amoled:s during Q1 and Q2 of 2012 upp to 10,1&quot;
for all types of Amoled:s to Smartphones and to tablet pc.
http://www.oled-display.net/samsung-mobile-display-produce-8-9-10-1-inch-amoleds-in-q1-flexible-fabrication-line-ready-in-q2-2012/

From CES 2011 where Samsung showed 4&quot; flexible Amoled:s.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsIjfy8g2Pk
This youtube video is 1:21min.short.

Korean Goverment have taken initiative to joint-venture with Korean high-tech company´s
to develop larger Amoled:s and flexible Amoled displays to 2018.
http://www.oled-display.net/korean-government-founded-oled-consortium-to-boost-oled-display-lighting-technology/

Some years ahead we will hear of Quantum dot Amoled displays which are even more power efficient oled technology than forthcoming Amoled displays.
http://nextbigfuture.com/2011/12/quantum-dot-oled-for-paper-thin.html

With Quantum dot technology it will be possible to make &quot;paper-thin-oled-displays&quot;
as the linked article to Nextbigfuture says above.

It is a lot of developing company´s in the oled business like Cambridge based (in U.K) CDT=Cambridge Display Technology Ltd. that is owned since 2008 by japanese chemical company Sumitomo.
Kodak was first in the developing business in the end of 1970th of oleds but Kodak sell their oled business to LG some month ago.
Samsung have licensed american Universaldisplay oled patents and the whole oled industry waited for prof.Sir.Richard Friend´s polymer led patents should expire in April 2010.

Expire of patents is one method to wait for starting bíg business as for the oled industry.

Prof.Sir.Richard Friend got anyway the Finnish technolgical prize Millenium prize in 2010, he was one of three who got the Millenium prize in 2010.
http://www.millenniumprize.fi/en/previous-prize-rounds/2010-1/laureates-3/sir-richard-friend-2/

So why the oleds are not before now and forthcoming years a big business is because the industry have waited for Prof.Sir.Richard Friend´s patents in polymer leds to expire when his patents are from 4 of April 1990.

With Amoleds it will be possible to make even very large displays on flexible substrate and with TFT transistors for on/off switching of the oleds RGB or WRGB subpixels to be on or off graphene will be possible to make very cheap amoleds that can be partially or totally transparent.

Graphene TFT transistors or electrodes (for capacitive electrodes in multi-touch-displays) can be made on plastic substrate that todays ITO=Indium-Tenn-Oxide seems not to be able to make on plastic substrate as James Tour at Rice University says in this 2:38min. short video.

American Duport is another developing tech company in the oled business.
http://www2.dupont.com/OLED/en_US/whats_new/article20111102.html

Californian based Kateeva another in developing oled tech business.
http://www.kateeva.com/

So, Amoled displays will be BIG business forthcoming years as Displayresearch predicts
will be 16 per cent of worldwide display business by 2018.
